Jay L. Gottlieb joined Strategies for Wealth after a career pioneering risk management and investment products for industrial commodities. As Director in the Research Department for NYMEX, he developed innovative products for the coal, power, and emissions markets. He managed the Exchange’s metals markets. Jay also led the Exchange’s role in the creation of the first commodity-base ETFs such as the iShares® COMEX® Gold Trust and US Oil.
Jay was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. The Gottliebs – Jay, Chava, their son, Eliezer Moshe, and daughter, Rachel, live in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. They are members of many Synagogues on the Lower East Side. They are deeply involved with the local Yeshiva, Mesivtha Tifereth Jerusalem -- Jay was an honoree at the annual dinner for its graduate school (Kollel), Chava served as the personal assistant to the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Dovid Feinstein, for a major fund-raising campaign, and Eli Moshe is in the elementary school. Rachel looks forward to attending the local Bais Yaakov.
